Ever thought about investing in Real Estate? But like most people, you weren’t born into a rich family and don’t have hundreds of thousands of dollars lying around to be invested in Real Estate.

In this article, I’m going to point to an incredible REIT to invest in today that pays a very nice dividend and is on clearance right now.

Retire on this REIT and sleep like a baby in this super volatile crazy market in 2022.

What are REITS?

Real estate investment trusts, or REITs, are a type of investment that allows individuals to invest in large-scale real estate projects without having to put up a lot of capital.

REITs are shares of ownership in a company that owns, operates, or finances income-producing real estate.

The income from a REIT is typically generated from rent payments made by tenants, but can also come from the sale of properties or the financing of real estate projects.

REITs are traded on major exchanges and can be purchased through brokerages. It’s as easy as buying shares on any brokerage you have (e.g. Robinhood, Interactive Brokers, Fidelity, Ameritrade, etc).

While most REITs focus on specific types of property, such as office buildings or shopping centers, some REITs own a portfolio of properties across different asset classes.

Best REIT to invest in Today

The best REIT to invest in today is Realty Income (NYSE: O).

Realty Income is the fourth-largest REIT in the world with more than 11,000 properties and 1,125 clients in 72 industries. It has a market cap of $40 Billion dollars.

The company has 27 years of dividend growth under its belt, and has been around for 53 years.

It has 625 consecutive monthly dividends, 99 consecutive quarterly increases, is a Dividend Aristocrat, which makes this company’s dividend considered “safe.”

A Dividend Aristocrat is a company that has increased its dividend each year for at least 25 years. These companies are typically large, well-established businesses with a long track record of profitability. They have a proven ability to generate consistent earnings growth.

It’s one of the very few REITS at an A-rating from S&P and an A3 from Moody’s. Only seven REITs have this.

Right now Realty Income (O) pays a dividend of 5.17% or almost $3 annualized every year.
